Summary
"The year 2020 is the Bicentennial of the 1820 settlers arriving in Simon's Bay at the Cape of Good Hope. The majority of the settlers were dispersed to their allocated locations in the Albany district in the Eastern Cape via Algoa Bay. The Irish contingents were transported to the Clanwilliam area via Saldanha Bay, and the others, including the Scottish contingent to various inland locations. This book is a timely reference to their arrival in their new country. These settlers have made a great impact in the development of South Africa over the past 200 years."--Page [4] of cover
