Summary
In 1992, young Dina lives in a remote mountain village where life is strictly governed by centuries of tradition. Dina's grandfather has promised her to David, who is returning from the war. But with David comes his comrade-in-armsGegi, who saved David's life on the battlefield and has been invited to be guest-of-honor at David and Dina's wedding. But by fateful coincidence, Dina and Gegi have also fallen in love during a fleeting wartime encounter without even knowing each other's names. Dina tries to break off her arranged marriage to David, but her mutiny threatens to overturn entrenched patriarchal power and shame both families. Is it possible to defy the firmly established order?
