- Summary
- Students will be introduced to linear equations and slope, two topics in algebra that go hand-in-hand. They will be shown how a table of values, a graph and a formula or equation can be used to describe a linear equation. Graphs of linear equations are explored and how they change depending on the slope of the line. Using tools such as the slope formula and slope-intercept form, students will explore slope with the constant reminder that, if the relationship between two sets of numbers is linear, you know you've got the graph of a line - and you know you can calculate its slope
