Summary

Betfield Sawyer (1774-1835) was born at Newton, New Hampshire, the son of Bitfield and Sarah Colby Sawyer. He married Hannah Thompson (1776-1847) at Kingston, New Hampshire, in 1793. They had eight children 1794-1813. The family moved to Hill, New Hampshire, ca. 1799. Betfield and Hannah Sawyer are buried in the family cemetery at Hill. Descendants listed, chiefly descendants of their son, Thomas Sawyer (1796-1862), lived in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey and elsewhere
