The Texas Presbyterian College for Girls was founded in Milford, Texas in 1902 and operated until 1929, when it was consolidated with Austin College in Sherman, Texas., In 1911 the College separated its high school operations into a discrete academy. It opened in debt, received a donation from Cumberland Presbyterian to continue operations in 1908, created an endowment through donations in 1917, and was recognized as a standard college in 1917-18.
