Summary
In this suspenseful adaptation of Twain's classic tale, Tom Sawyer rekindles his companionship with legendary Huck Finn. One night, while performing a wart removal ritual in the cemetery, the two boys witness the murder of Doc Robinson. The killer is Hannibal's most menacing and feared citizen -- Injun Joe. The boys know that if Injun Joe finds out they were at the cemetery, he will kill them too. They run away and make a pact to never tell anyone what has occurred. Unbeknownst to them, Tom's signature marble was left behind at the murder site, and Injun Joe is hot on their trail. Back in town, Tom's friend Muff has been framed for the murder. Now Tom is faced with the most important decision of his life. Knowing that telling the truth may get him and Huck killed, does he break his promise to huck in order to exonerate muff... or does he keep quiet, selling Muff down the river? Ultimately, he does the right thing, and testifies in court to Muff's innocence. Feeling frightened and betrayed, Huck runs away. Tom's worst nightmare comes true when he comes face-to-face with Injun Joe while exploring a cave at the town picnic. Just as Tom is about to meet his maker, Huck returns to help him defeat Injun Joe in one final and fateful melee
