Summary
In 1930s Germany, Helmuth Hubener is just an ordinary kid in a changing world. As the Nazi party rises to prominence, Helmuth is initially content with the regime's flamboyance and national pride. However, even the swagger of Nazi stormtroopers can't hide the fact that the people of Germany are being oppressed. While Nazi supporters revel in their newfound doctrine of bigotry and nationalism, youngsters like Helmuth begin to fear that their government is destroying the very fabric of society
