Luisa, Ángel y Ramiro, tres amigos inseparables, se encuentran en un apasionante triangulo amoroso del cual ninguno saldrá ileso. Cuando Luisa se casa con Ángel se da cuenta que es a Ramiro a quien ama. Ángel, resignado y sin ninguna otra opción, deja que Luisa se marche y empiece una nueva vida junto a Ramiro. 15 años después Luisa se encuentra de nuevo con Ángel, ahora un mendigo enfermo, y lo lleva a casa donde Ramiro lo recibe con los brazos abiertos.
