Summary
While a blizzard pummels England, six people gather in the tiny village of Sittaford at the home of Captain Trevelyan, who has rented the house for the winter. That evening during a seance, a spirit predicts Trevelyan's murder. When one of the guests, Major Burnaby, checks up on his friend, he discovers that the captain is indeed dead. But who would have wanted Trevelyan dead? And how did a spirit predict such an event?
